Question about Schizoaffective Disorder?

Hi guys. I hope you are well. I was hospitalised recently with auditory hallucinations and a Manic episode.The hallucinations lasted about a year whereas the Mania lasted abouta month.The diagnosis was Schizoaffective Disorder. I am currently on a mood stabiliser and an anti-psychotic.My question is, is Schizoaffective Disorder both Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder in one?If so then this is going to be challenging.
