Can you be a Receptionist if you have Auditory Processing Disorder?

One of the most important characteristics that a receptionist should possess is a keen sense of hearing and understanding of what has been conveyed by others to effectively relay them internally or to properly address queries. However, with that defect, I am feel sorry to say that unless your hearing problem is treated, then it might be difficult to hire you for the job.
